The Brewscuit’s Story
No Chemical Preservatives
Source of Fiber
Packed with Protein
We are home brewers and pet parents…
One night while brewing our latest and greatest beer we placed our spent grains on a table on our porch. Little did we know our rescue dogs would steal the bags in an attempt to eat the grain! After some research, some test batches, and some tasting panels with our in-house research team, the first batch of Brewscuits was released.
Spent Beer Grain (barley, oats, rye), Flour, Eggs and Flavor: Peanut Butter, Pumpkin or Sweet Potato.
NO Alcohol, Hops, Corn, Soy, Salt, Sugar, Additives or Preservatives.
They are also a good source of protein. The pumpkin & sweet potato varieties are almost 16% protein and the peanut butter is more than 19% protein.
Why choose us
Hand-CraftedBrewscuits are hand-crafted dog biscuits that make use of the whole grain used to brew beer to create a one-of-a-kind treat that your dog is sure to love.
Supplied by BreweriesFor years, breweries have supplied farms with “spent” beer grains, the ingredients used to produce the beer we all know and love. They use this by-product as a supplemental feed for their livestock, using the hardy feed’s nutritional and digestive elements to bolster the feed profile of their animals. All of this got us thinking – Couldn’t we use these ingredients to benefit our dogs at home? The answer is YES!
Good GrainsBeer is made using oats, barley, & rye. These are the good grains. They are human grade grains which mean they have low gluten components in the grain. Whole grains are actually a good thing. The natural fiber does not convert to sugar in a flash; it burns slowly and steadily and sustains energy levels and appetites. We use good grains and not bad grains such as crushed corn meal. Corn is filler with no nutritional value.
